What is your role at Valiant Pictures? Can you tell us a little bit about your company?
I am the owner and Executive Producer along with my partner Vincent Lin. We are a New York-based independent production company specializing in branded content, commercials, and original entertainment.
How long have you been part of the Primary community? What do you enjoy most about working here?
We have been here for about 7 months now and really enjoy the atmosphere, amenities, and community. I also enjoy any free food left in the kitchen after events happen.
NYC is full of options for working out and staying in shape. Is there a wellness trend or fitness class that you’ve been wanting to try?
I’m pretty interested in trying an isolation tank. We are also into anything involving martial arts. There was one point where we were trying to take every free karate class in the city.
You leave work at 6PM. How do you spend the rest of your evening?
If there is a screening, party, or event that’s industry related I try to attend. I also like to relax at museum nights or live shows around the city.
What is your favorite neighborhood in NYC? Why?
I usually stick around union square or east village for the food and drink options. Also, it’s not completed packed with tourists. I rarely go above 23rd street.
Would you prefer to cook dinner in or eat out? What is your favorite dish to cook OR favorite restaurant to eat at?
I cook but also try as many new bars and restaurants as I can. Recently, I’ve been using cookbooks by Ottolenghi. My favorite bar is in walking distance from primary called BlackTail. Favorite restaurant at the moment is probably Uncle Boons or Emily Squared.
What are three things that you absolutely cannot live without?
Music, Sushi, and Booze. Also my phone charger.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received lately?
I water you, you water me; we grow together.
The weather is finally getting warmer! Do you have any exciting plans for this summer?
I just got back from Asia so I took my big vacation already. For other travel, I’m in a wedding taking place in New Orleans and would like to go back to Toronto and Portland before the end of the year.
One thing on your bucket list for 2017?
I want to spoil a movie by telling someone “ice cube dies” before they watch it. They’ll be waiting for ice cube to appear and die the whole time.
